Outer Banks NC family photographer located in Nags Head North Carolina

Lover of coffee, converse all-stars,  dark chocolate, fonts & design,   red wine, toes in the sand,   good  food, vintage finds, the colors gray & turquoise, and my two crazy, sweet, boys.

I moved down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina over 18 years ago with my windsurfing fanatic husband...and now we are raising two crazy, sweet, little boys (now ages 13 and 15), here at the beach in Nags Head NC. My husband works from home doing computer things (how's that for specific?) and I have expanded my passion of photography into a business that lets me be flexible enough to still spend as much time possible with my kids while allowing me to delve into my favorite creative outlet! I absolutely love to capture the real life love of my clients! I don't want to forget one moment of my kids growing up and I want to save those fleeting memories for you and your family too!

I must be doing something right, because I was chosen as "Best photographer of the Beach" in the OBX for three years in a row! Studio Nassetta was also chosen as the top family photography in the Coastland Gold contest as well as Coastal Life magazine in 2024. I am humbled by this honor and it is my passion to preserve your precious memories.

A little about how my photography journey started...

My first love of photography started in the darkroom many years ago. I took a small community course in photography and the darkroom...and when I went to one of my first classes tired and with a headache.. and left at the end of the night with renewed energy and feeling great.  I knew I was hooked.

But it was the birth of my first son in 2008 that reignited my love for photography and for capturing the  precious and fleeting moments of family life.  Something about watching an image appear before you can be intoxicating. The digital darkroom may be a bit different, but I still get a thrill when I download images and am able to capture not just memories, but capture personalities on "film."

I have a background in the film and television world... but while film and video is an amazing technology to have, nothing quite captures the spirit of a person or a family as a still image.
A moment in time.

Another passion of mine is graphic design.  While I still do a bit of work in this arena, I like to incorporate typography and other graphic elements into my photography work as well.  I'm happy to spend my day looking at fonts and graphic design, photographing and getting to know a new family, and creating heirloom images that will be cherished for a lifetime!
